Winery Run!

It's that time of year... so let's motor! Saturday August 15th we are doing a

wine run! We are going to Demarest Hill Winery and Warwick Valley Winery & Distillery. Both

are in Warwick, NY. A nice ride up Route 17 with some great twists and turns through the

mountains on very Mini friendly roads. Both (award winning) wineries have wine tasting rooms and

sell a large variety of wines & distilled beverages, Between the two, you could get anything from draft

cider to grappa & balsamic vinegar. Warwick Winery will be the second winery to hit because they

have live music outside on the patio or inside if the weather isn't so great. The music is from 2:00 pm

to 5:00 pm. We plan on eating picnic style outside at Demarest Winery. If you would rather not eat

there, we can give you the address of a great restaurant (ma & pop) in the area.

When: Saturday, August 15, 2009. Starts at 10:00 am at 1st meeting point.

Where: We will meet at 10:00 am at the Paramus Towne Square shopping center at 240

Route 17 North, Paramus, NJ 07652. We will meet in front of the vacated Circuit City. We are

going to leave for the 2nd meeting point up 17 north at 10:40 am. The second meeting point is going

to be at 11:00 am next to Prestige Mini dealership in Mawah on Lethbridge Plaza. Please do not

park in Prestige's parking lot. From our second meet point, we are going to be going to the

Demarest Hill Winery (81 Pine Island Turnpike Warwick, New York 10990) . Then after some

tasting and buying, we will take our lunch break. Next, we will travel on to the Warwick Valley

Winery (114 Little York Road, Warwick, New York 10990). At the Warwick Valley Winery, we

can taste some more, buy some more, then listen to the live music. The also have a cafe, although not so

wallet friendly. So if you want to grab something there you can.
